EAST SEMIFINALS (CH. 4)

No. 2 North Carolina vs. No. 11 Marquette, 6:15 p.m.

Riding a 16-2 run, the young Tar Heels have caught fire at the right time behind Tyler Zeller and John Henson, above, up front, and freshman Kendall Marshall making all the right calls at the point. But the Golden Eagles' experienced backcourt of Jimmy Butler and Darius Johnson-Odom could be the difference here.

No. 1 Ohio State vs. No. 4 Kentucky, 8:45 p.m.

How will the young Wildcats deal with the Buckeyes' hard-to-beat combo of Jared Sullinger inside and excellent shooters outside? After making the game-winner in the first round vs. Princeton, gifted Wildcats G Brandon Knight, above, seems to have found himself, but he must play well against the experienced William Buford for Kentucky to have any upset shot.

SOUTHWEST SEMIFINALS (TBS)

No. 1 Kansas vs. No. 12 Richmond, 6:27 p.m.

The Spiders have been impressive, but how will Richmond (259th in the nation in rebounding) hold up vs. the Jayhawks' superior size? In KU's two NCAA victories, the Morris twins, above, have combined for 72 points and 41 rebounds.

No. 11 Va. Commonwealth vs. No. 10 Florida State, 8:57 p.m.

An evenly matched game could turn on what the Seminoles get out of top scorer Chris Singleton, above, who returned from a broken foot but did little, picking up more fouls (seven) than points (five) in two victories. As always, the Rams (301st in the nation in rebounding) will be at a disadvantage on the boards.
