Host St. Cloud State tied No. 1 North Dakota 3-3 on Friday night in NCHC men's hockey and then won the shootout for the extra point in the conference standings. Jack Poehling had two goals for the Huskies, including the tying tally at 7 minutes, 7 seconds of the third period. Easton Brodzinski scored the lone shootout goal. Westin Michaud had a shorthanded goal for UND in the first and Shane Pinto a power-play goal in the second.

No. 19 Western Michigan 5, No. 4 Minnesota Duluth 3: Austin Rueschhoff had a goal and two assists to lead the Broncos over visiting UMD, which had a 40-32 shot edge. Scott Perunovich, Cole Koepke and Justin Richards scored for the Bulldogs, who led 3-2 into the third period. Rueschhoff tied the score at 7:22 of the third and Hugh McGing got the game-winner 29 seconds later.

Big Ten

No. 12 Ohio State 1, Michigan State 1: Defenseman Matt Miller scored at 2 minutes, 24 seconds of the second period and Tommy Nappier made 25 saves as the Buckeyes beat the host Spartans. With the win, the Buckeyes overtook Michigan and moved into third place in the conference race.

Notre Dame 2, Michigan 1: Cam Morrison and Matt Hellickson had goals in the first 7½ minutes of the third period as the visiting Irish beat the Wolverines. Cale Morris made 34 saves and had a shutout until Jacob Hayhurst scored for Michigan with 43 seconds left.

Wisconsin 7, No. 9 Arizona St. 6: Roman Ahcan had a hat trick and two assists as the host Badgers upset the Wildcats. Ahcan's third goal, with 1:09 left in the third was the winner.

WCHA

No. 3 MSU Mankato 10, Ala.-Huntsville 0: Parker Tuomie and Julian Napravnik each scored twice as the Mavericks routed the visiting Chargers, outshooting them 64-11. Dryden McKay got the shutout.
