Denver surges back, takes down second-ranked North Dakota
•NO. 13 DENVER 6, NO. 2 NORTH DAKOTA 4: Danton Heinen scored a tiebreaking goal at 7 minutes, 43 seconds of the third period and added an insurance goal into an empty net at 19:57 for the host Pioneers (14-8-5, 10-5-2 NCHC) on Friday night against the Fighting Hawks (22-4-3, 13-3-1-1). Trevor Moore added a goal and three assists for the Pioneers. Brock Boeser had a goal and an assist for UND.
• NO. 16 PENN STATE 6, MICHIGAN STATE 1: The Nittany Lions goat goals from six different skaters and routed the Spartans (7-20-2, 3-10) in East Lansing, Mich. Penn State remained two games behind the second-place Gophers in the conference race. Matthew Skoff made 28 saves for Penn State (18-8-3, 8-5). Michigan State's Jake Hildebrand finished with 43 saves, his best coming when he thwarted a 2-on-none breakaway 4:30 into the second period, preventing the Nittany Lions from building on a two-goal advantage.
• MICHIGAN 4, WISCONSIN 1: Dexter Dancs' goal in the second period put the Wolverines (18-4-4, 9-2-1) ahead to stay against the Badgers (6-13-6, 1-8-2-1) in Madison. Junior forward Tyler Motte scored his NCAA-leading 26th goal of the season, his 10th consecutive game with a goal for the Wolverines. Ryan Wagner scored his ninth goal of the season for Wisconsin, and Matt Jurusik made 36 saves. The Wolverines outshot Wisconsin 40-26.
• MINNESOTA STATE MANKATO 3, ALABAMA-HUNTSVILLE 3: Bryce Gervais' second goal of the game, with 6:10 remaining in regulation, gave the 17th-ranked Mavericks (15-10-6, 13-4-6) a tie with the Chargers (6-17-4, 4-13-4) in Hunstville, Ala.
• BEMIDJI STATE 2, LAKE SUPERIOR STATE 1: Brendan Harms scored the decisive power-play goal with 11:45 left in regulation for the Beavers (13-11-5, 8-9-4). Jake Hand tied it at 1-1 midway through the first period for Lake Superior State after the Beavers' John Parker opened the scoring at 2:51.
