Wolverines rout Buckeyes

BIG TEN

• MICHIGAN 8, OHIO STATE 3: Alex Kile and Andrew Copp each scored two goals as the Wolverines (8-6, 2-1) routed the visiting Buckeyes (5-9-1, 1-2). Tyler Motte had four assists for Michigan, which was 4-for-5 on the power play. The Wolverines have won six of their past seven games and, in that stretch, are averaging 5.4 goals per game.

• PENN STATE 5, WISCONSIN 2: David Goodwin had a goal and three assist to lead the Nittany Lions (8-4-2, 2-1) past the Badgers (1-9-1, 0-1) at the Kohl Center.

• MINNESOTA DULUTH 3, COLORADO COLLEGE 2 (OT): Kyle Osterberg scored at 3:32 of overtime as the No. 8 Bulldogs (10-5, 6-3 WCHA) edged the Tigers (3-9, 0-6) at Amsoil Arena. Colorado College took a 2-0 lead but UMD rallied on goals by Tony Cameranesi in the second period and Alex Iafallo with 2:53 left in the third.

• NORTH DAKOTA 7, LAKE SUPERIOR STATE 4: After falling behind 3-0 and 4-1 to the Lakers (3-14), No. 1 UND (11-3-2) got rolling in Grand Forks with last four goals of the second period. Tucker Poolman had two goals for North Dakota and Michael Parks had a goal and two assists.

WCHA

• ALASKA 5, MSU MANKATO 4 (OT): Austin Veith's goal 2:59 into overtime gave the Nanooks (8-7, 3-6 WCHA) an upset over the No. 2 Mavericks (11-4, 9-2). The Mavericks, who had a six-game winning streak broken, tied the score at 4-all on Brad McClure's goal with 3:20 left in the third.

• North Dakota junior forward Drake Caggiula was named the Hockey Commissioners Association's Division I player of the month for November and Minnesota Duluth freshman goalie Kasimir Kaskisuo the rookie of the month.
