Bemidji St. shocks No. 2 UND

• BEMIDJI ST. 5, NORTH DAKOTA 1: Brendan Harms scored two goals, the first shorthanded in the opening period, as the Beavers beat UND, rated No. 2 in the USA Today poll at Ralph Engelstad Arena. North Dakota was No. 2 in the latest USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll. Bemidji State scored four times — in a nine-minute span of the second period — to go ahead 5-0.

• OHIO STATE 5, PROVIDENCE 4 (OT): Anthony Greco's goal 28 seconds into overtime gave the Buckeyes an upset over the No. 4 Friars in the Big Ten/Big East Challenge. Greco had a hat trick for Ohio State while Christian Frey stopped 26 shots. Tanner Fritz, Greco's center, had two goals and two assists.

• CONNECTICUT 2, PENN STATE 2, tie (Huskies win SO): Dave Goodwin's goal with 48 seconds left in the third period for the Nittany Lions tied the score, but host PSU lost 2-1 in a shootout in the Big East/Big Ten Challenge.

• ALASKA 1, WISCONSIN 0: The Nanooks beat the Badgers in the Kendall Classic in Anchorage on Colton Parayko's power-play goal in the second period. Davis Jones had to make only 14 saves for the shutout; Landon Peterson had 30 saves for No. 12 Wisconsin.
