Upset for MSU Mankato

• MINNESOTA STATE MANKATO 6, FERRIS STATE 2: Matt Leitner had two goals and an assist as the host Mavericks (13-10-0, 11-6-0 WCHA) upset the No. 2 Bulldogs (17-4-3, 12-1-2).

• MICHIGAN STATE 3, PENN STATE 0: Dean Chelios scored the first goal and assisted on the other two as the visiting Spartans (7-10-3, 1-2-2-2 Big Ten) beat the Nittany Lions (4-13-1, 0-5-0). Jake Hildebrand made 48 saves for the shutout.

• WESTERN MICHIGAN 5, ST. CLOUD STATE 5 (SO): After falling behind 4-1, the visiting Broncos (11-8-4, 5-5-1-1) rallied for 4-4 and 5-5 ties and then won the shootout. Jimmy Murray scored two goals for the No. 3 Huskies (12-3-4, 7-2-2).

• DENVER 3, MINNESOTA DULUTH 2 (OT): Quentin Shore's goal with 45 seconds left in overtime gave the No. 16 Pioneers (12-7-4, 6-4-1-1 NCHC) a victory over the host Bulldogs (9-9-1, 5-6-0).

• NORTH DAKOTA 1, BEMIDJI STATE 1 (OT): No. 20 UND (11-7-3) badly outshot the Beavers (7-11-7), but Andrew Walsh made 42 saves, including five in overtime, to salvage a tie for the home team.
