Michigan cools off Ohio State in OT

• MICHIGAN 4, OHIO STATE 3 (OT): Andrew Copp's eighth goal of the season, 3 minutes, 38 seconds into overtime, gave the No. 3 Wolverines (9-2-1) the victory in Ann Arbor in the other Big Ten opener on Friday. The Buckeyes (8-5) had won five in row — and eight of the past nine — and tied this game 3-3 on Anthony Greco's goal at 16:47 of the third period. Shots were 38-35 in Michigan's favor.
• MICHIGAN STATE 4, PRINCETON 1: Twelve different players had either a goal or an assist as the Spartans (4-8) beat the Tigers (3-9) in a nonconference game in East Lansing, Mich. Ryan Keller's first goal of the season made it 2-0 Michigan State at 17:30 of the second period. Goals by Jake Chelios and Mackenzie MacEachern in the third period gave the Spartans a 4-0 lead. Jake Hildebrand stopped 31 shots for Michigan State and had a shutout until Garrett Skrbich scored with 3:11 left.

• ST. LAWRENCE 5, NORTH DAKOTA 2: Jerry Wick had two goals and one assist, and Greg Carey had a goal and three assists as the visiting Saints (8-5-2) beat UND (4-7-2). St. Lawrence was 3-for-6 on the power play, the home team 1-for-9. Connor Gaarder and Keaton Thompson scored their first goals of the season for North Dakota.
• MIAMI (OHIO) 4, BEMIDJI STATE 4 (OT): The host Beavers scored three unanswered goals in the third period to tie the No. 13 RedHawks (7-6-2). Sam Rendle got the tying goal for Bemidji State (5-7-3) with 43 seconds left.
• MINNESOTA STATE MANKATO 3, ALASKA ANCHORAGE 2: Sean Flanagan's unassisted goal at 3:10 of the third period for the Mavericks (6-7, 4-3 WCHA) broke a 2-2 tie with the visiting Seawolves (6-5-2, 3-4-2).
