Four to Women's Am
Four golfers qualified for the U.S. Women's Amateur sectional qualifying at the White Bear Yacht Club in Dellwood.
Julie Houston of Allen, Texas, shot the best round, a 2-over 74, finishing with four pars.
Three others advanced with 75s: Taylor Ledwein and Kenzie Neisen, both of New Prague, and Sarah Burnham of Maple Grove.
Burnham is going to the Women's Amateur for the second consecutive year. After tying for 15th in the qualifying rounds a year ago, she lost in the opening round of match play. Burnham recently played in the U.S. Women's Open in Lancaster, Pa.
The Women's Amateur will be held Aug. 10-16 at the Portland (Ore.) Golf Club.
