Kevin Love doesn't mind being a third wheel or a fourth or even a fifth.

His scoring average has dipped and he's taking fewer shots. And he's OK with that. He has not been a major part of Cleveland coach Tyronn Lue's plans in the playoffs so far. And he's not complaining about that.

In short, Love isn't demanding more, well, love.

"I told him [Lue], 'We're 8-0. I don't mind it,"' he said. "If I get five or six shots, if I get 15 shots, it doesn't matter to me, as long as we win. I've been in this position before. We're having success so I'm happy. Feel good."

During Cleveland's sweep of Toronto, Love averaged just 12 points — he averaged 19 during the regular season — and he scored just five in Game 4 on 2-of-7 shooting.

Harden's struggles

As the Spurs and Rockets exchanged handshakes, moments after San Antonio clinched a spot in the Western Conference finals with a 114-75 victory in Game 6 of their best-of-seven series Thursday night, Spurs Coach Gregg Popovich and Rockets star James Harden had an extended conversation.

"Honestly, he said he don't know what to say," Harden said.

He wasn't alone.

"I feel really bad for them that it ended this way," Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni said, "because they did not deserve this. But, at the same time, San Antonio beat us. They beat us.

The Spurs dominated the hustle stats, winning virtually every 50-50 ball, as well as the box score. The Rockets shot 28.6 percent from the field and committed 13 turnovers that led to 22 Spurs points.

Harden finished with just 10 points, three rebounds and seven assists and shot just 2 for 11 from the floor — including 2-for-9 on three-pointers. He didn't take his first shot until halfway through the second quarter; by then, Houston already trailed by 21.

"They just dominated," Harden said.
