Here's something that slipped under my radar last month:

Former Gophers quarterbacks coach Jim Zebrowski has been hired as the QB coach at Buffalo, which just happens to be the first opponent the Gophers will face under P.J. Fleck, on Aug. 31 at TCF Bank Stadium.

Buffalo announced Zebrowski's hire last month. After leaving the Gophers after the 2015 season, he spent last year as an assistant head coach at Hamline. At Buffalo, Zebrowski has reunited with head coach Lance Leipold after they worked together at Wisconsin-Whitewater from 2007 to 2009.

Buffalo went 2-10 last year in its second season under Leipold, including a 38-0 loss to Fleck's Western Michigan squad.

Max Brosmer's 1-yard plunge with under a minute remaining, his third TD of the game, gave the Gophers the late lead and Koi Perich's acrobatic interception set off a wild celebration at Huntington Bank Stadium.
