Augusta, Ga.

Former Gopher golfer Wilhelm Schauman is covering The Masters for a Swedish television station.

Schauman was a key player on the Gopher team that won the national title in 2002. One of the All-Americans from that team, Justin Smith, is now the Gophers' head coach.

He had visited Augusta National before but never before with a media credential. ``It's amazing,'' he said. ``It's so much bigger than when I was here in '05. It's just a different setup.

``It's incredible. I went to the Tour Championship in East Lake and I was able to walk inside the ropes with a mic. Here, the patrons come first. Which is cool.''

Faces in the crowd

Arizona Cardinals receiver and Holy Angels alum Larry Fitzgerald, Villanova basketball coach Jay Wright, golfing great Nick Price.
