Forest Lake's Leif Nordgren finishes 50th in Olympic 12.5-kilometer pursuit

PYEONGCHANG, SOUTH KOREA – Leif Nordgren finished 50th in the Olympic men's 12.5k pursuit Monday night at the Alpensia Biathlon Centre.

Nordgren, a Forest Lake High graduate, finished in 38 minutes, 40 seconds. France's Martin Fourcade won the gold in 32:51.7.

Nordgren qualified for the pursuit by finishing in the top 60 (58th overall) in the 10k sprint on Sunday.

He finished 53rd in the pursuit in Sochi in 2014.
