The series of winter classes is taught by award-winning Bachman's floral designers. Cost is $40 for each class and includes wine, snacks and supplies for a floral creation. Pink lady Think of Bella Anna as Annabelle's flashy sister. Bailey Nurseries in Newport has developed Bella Anna, the first magenta-pink Annabelle hydrangea in the Endless Summer collection. It will hit local garden centers this spring.

This hardy hydrangea grows to 3 feet by 3 feet and produces huge pink mophead flowers from early summer through fall. It prefers full sun to partial shade and performs well in USDA Zones 3-9. Use Bella Anna as a stand-alone plant, or planted in groups for a showy garden border. As Annabelle lovers already know, the spectacular blooms make excellent cut flowers.
