Sam and Diane smoldered. So did Mr. Big and Carrie. But you don't have to bring the sizzle to have a relationship that TV viewers will root for. Here are five cute couples who may not make People magazine's sexiest lists, but easily won a place in our hearts.

Neal Justin

Rob and Laura

"The Dick Van Dyke Show" (1961-66)

We knew they threw hip parties and wore tight pants — somewhat groundbreaking back then — but we also knew that the core of their relationship was an old-fashioned desire to make each other feel good about themselves.

Cliff and Clair

"The Cosby Show" (1984-2002)

They flirted like crazy, but at the end of the day, raising a strong, moral family together was their most romantic gesture.

Kevin and Winnie

"The Wonder Years" (1988-93)

They were far too young to get physical, but they leaned on each other like decent grown-ups.

Chandler and Monica

"Friends" (1994-2004)

This was supposed to be the Ross & Rachel show, but while those two were playing will-they-or-won't-they, their buddies quietly showed what a true partnership looks like.

Jim and Pam

"The Office" (2005-13)

The British version was superior to the American in every way — except when it came to the chemistry between the central love interests. Their troubles near the end of the series didn't quite ring true; nothing could tear these two apart.
