This year, Minneapolis North High School has clinched football and basketball state championships — and now, a new fitness center.
Thursday is the grand opening of the North High School Fitness Center, thanks to a grant through Hennepin County Youth Sports.
The project "helps fulfill the MPS Athletic Department’s goal of improving the quality of athletic facilities while expanding their use by students and the community," according to a release from the district.

Thursday, March 30 from 1 to 2 p.m. at North High School, 1500 James Ave. N. in Minneapolis. Enter through door 18.
