A federal jury in Minneapolis has found a 38-year-old Blaine man guilty of producing and possessing child pornography.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office announced that Scott F. Fortier was found guilty of one count of production of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.
According to a news release, Fortier had been associated with Circle R Ranch, a co-ed horseback riding summer camp in Todd County. While there, Fortier met a 17-year-old girl. He invited the girl and her 15-year-old friend to his Blaine home. He gave them alcohol and used his cellphone to make several videos of himself engaging in sexually explicit conduct with both girls.
A search warrant discovered Fortier had thousands of images of child pornography and pornographic videos of children under the age of 12.
“This disturbing case involved a defendant who preyed on two minor victims,” said Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Lindsey Middlecamp in a statement. “I am thankful to the victims who courageously testified at trial. ...”
