Super Bowl specials

Packer backers looking to venture off their sofas for the big game need look no further than the Herkimer. The Packer bar/brewpub will have a charity cheese raffle (of course) an hour before kickoff, plus food specials on a Packer-themed menu. Patrons itching for that Lambeau-like atmosphere can sit on the outdoor patio by a fire pit and watch the game on a projection-screen TV. Meanwhile, Pittsburgh followers and vindictive Vikings fans may prefer Patrick McGovern's Pub for their Super Bowl action. The official home of the Steelers Fans of Minnesota is offering $10 pitchers of Miller Lite and Coors Light, football trivia for free apps and shots, prize drawings and a Big Ben Burger (named after Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, for you football dilettantes). Kickoff at 5:30 p.m. Sun. 2/6 on Fox.

    Vita.mn Hotness Party

Get a glimpse of the 12 finalists in this year's Vita.mn Hotness contest IRL as they're revealed for the first time -- the day before our pre-Valentine's Day Hotness issue hits the streets. For this year's bash, we're taking the party out of the hotel-bar scene and into the posh, old-school glamour of the Woman's Club by Loring Park. When you're not busy scoping out and chatting up the fine people (all 211 Hotness nominees and their friends are invited), take in a fashion show with Vision models; entertainment from Davina and the Vagabonds, BadNraD and Cadillac Kolstad; audio-visuals from Anthem Heart and Playatta; plus a photo booth, free appetizers and a dance party with the Estate DJs. VIP tickets include guaranteed runway seating, four drink tickets and a gift bag. More event details.

The "winners" have all been Turkeys, no matter the honor's name.

In this photo taken Monday, March 6, 2017, in San Francisco, released confidential files by The University of California of a sexual misconduct case, like this one against UC Santa Cruz Latin Studies professor Hector Perla is shown. Perla was accused of raping a student during a wine-tasting outing in June 2015. Some of the files are so heavily redacted that on many pages no words are visible. Perla is one of 113 UC employees found to have violated the system's sexual misconduct policies in rece
