Easton Stick threw three touchdown passes on Saturday and North Dakota State beat San Diego 45-7 on Saturday in Fargo, N.D., taking its first postseason step toward a sixth consecutive FCS championship in a second-round playoff game.

The top-seeded Bison (11-1) will get a chance to avenge their only loss when they play host to South Dakota State in the quarterfinals. SDSU beat NDSU 19-17 on the last play of the game in the regular-season meeting in Fargo.

South Dakota State 10, Villanova 7: Chase Vinatieri banked a 42-yard field goal off the right upright with 1:21 left to lift the Jackrabbits to a victory over the Wildcats in Brookings, S.D.

The Jackrabbits' big-play offense was nowhere to be found until Taryn Christion found Dallas Goedert for 33 yards with less than two minutes to get SDSU (9-3) in field-goal range.

Richmond 27, North Dakota 24: Griffin Trau kicked an 18-yard field goal as time expired, capping a 17-point comeback and sending the Spiders (10-3) to a victory over the Fighting Hawks in Grand Forks, N.D.

North Dakota (9-3) led 24-7 in the third quarter after Demun Mercer's second TD catch from Keaton Studsrud. Mercer had five catches for 122 yards.
