Minneapolis police are investigating a double shooting Thursday afternoon that left a father and his 5-year-old son injured.
The shooting happened about 4:15 p.m. on the 1500 block of Plymouth Avenue N., less than a block from where Jamar Clark was shot by police and less than four blocks from the Fourth Precinct station, the site of five days of protests after Clark died.
There is no indication that Thursday’s shooting is related to ongoing protests, police said.
The man, who is 40, and the boy had noncritical injuries, police said: The man was hit in an arm and rear while the child was shot in a leg. The two were able to walk to the ambulance, authorities said.
The shooter fled in a blue Cadillac, police said.
