The Gophers added some depth to their wide receiver group on Friday, Jan. 9, securing a transfer portal commitment from former Cincinnati and Charleston Southern wideout Noah Jennings.

Jennings, 6-0 and 190 pounds, caught 23 passes for 323 yards for Cincinnati in 2025, his first year with the Bearcats after transferring from FCS-level Charleston Southern. The Blythewood, S.C., native caught 26 passes for 410 yards and a touchdown with the Buccaneers as a freshman in 2023 and had 46 receptions for 475 yards and three TDs as a sophomore.

Jennings, who will have one year of eligibility remaining with the Gophers, is the second wide receiver to commit to the program since the transfer portal opened Jan. 2. He joins former Auburn wideout Perry Thompson, a 6-3, 220-pound former four-star recruit. Jennings and Thompson will join a group that includes second-leading 2025 receiver Javon Tracy, who had 37 catches for 454 yards and six TDs, and Jalen Smith, the Rate Bowl offensive MVP who caught 28 passes for 419 yards and four TDs.

The addition of Jennings gives the Gophers 15 commitments out of the transfer portal. They have had 21 players enter the portal. Running back Fame Ijeboi committed to Purdue on Jan. 9, while defensive backs Za’Quan Bryan (South Florida) and Jaylen Bowden (East Carolina) pledged earlier in the week.
