I Am Fabulous!
Inspired by Ari Seth Cohen's popular fashion blog, the 2014 documentary "Advanced Style" brought the idea of celebrating stylish women of a certain age into the mainstream. It follows seven stylish New Yorkers over the age of 60 as they go about their daily lives with styles that reflect their over-the-top personalities. Now, I Am Fabulous! — a new event from I Am Mpls! and I Am Kindness! producer Sarah Edwards — brings the concept to life with a day of beauty and style for women of all ages. The event includes a brunch buffet, photo booth, pop-up shopping, hair and makeup styling, a jazz quartet and a red carpet entrance, plus a cross-generational fashion show and a screening of "Advanced Style." Spring fever has hit Harriet Brewing, as the south Minneapolis brewery preps for its fourth annual Sol Bock Revival event.
