By John Millea
I wrote a major story recently about Wayzata quarterback Sasha Doran, who was living in a Russian orphanage along with his two sisters just seven years ago. The three siblings were adopted by John and Mary Ellen Doran of Plymouth. Since my story was published, Sasha's fame has quickly spread.
While talking to Mary Ellen during the reporting process, I told her that national media outlets -- such as ESPN -- might very well pick up the story. And that's what is happening. ESPN has contacted the Dorans and is planning a story on Sasha and his family.
Couldn't happen to nicer folks.
