Ananya Dance Theatre

Ongoing: ADT has adapted its latest work, "Dastak: I Wish You Me," to a video format. Set amid the ruins of the Minneapolis uprising following George Floyd's death as well as the shores of the Mississippi, the new work serves up contemplation, revolution and transformation. The fourth and final video installment, "Air," will be released on Saturday online. The videos, which feature text by Sharon Bridgforth and a soundscape by Dameun Strange, offer a preview of ADT's work tackling global injustice that is to come in 2021. (Released 9 a.m. Sat. Free, ananyadancetheatre.org.)

Sunday: The bittersweet celebration around Whitney Houston's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last weekend (now showing on HBO) will continue locally with the Chanhassen debut of London singer Beverly Savarin's tribute show. Savarin was a contestant on the U.K.'s "The X Factor" in 2011 and now tours the States singing Houston's biggest hits. (7 p.m. Sun. Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, 501 W. 78th St. $40-$58, chanhassendt.com or 952-934-1525.)

Lucinda Williams

Thursday: Even though she's anchored at home in Nashville during the pandemic, the Americana queen has been busy making music, most notably her streamed "Lu's Jukebox" concert series. For the third episode, she and her band will interpret songs by Bob Dylan, one of her major influences. Recorded live in a Nashville studio, the previous episodes have explored Tom Petty and Southern soul music. Future shows will focus on classic country, the Rolling Stones and holiday tunes. Proceeds benefit various independent music venues, including the Dakota and First Avenue. (7 p.m. Thu. $20, dakotacooks.com and first-avenue.com.)

JON BREAM

Thunder Band

Thursday: One of the Cedar Cultural Center's favorite local bands — very local, since its members hail from the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood — this Somali-American quartet has played its traditional brand of qaraami love songs at the nonprofit venue's Mindimo educational series and other programs. The group recently recorded a virtual performance outside on the plaza for the American Musicological Conference, and they're showing it to everyone via the Cedar Public Access Channel on Give to the Max Day (Nov. 19) to promote donations to the enduring nonprofit venue. (7:30 p.m. Thu. YouTube or thecedar.org.)
