Three employees at Xcel Energy’s Sherco plant in Becker were injured Wednesday when a breaker they were working near failed.
Paramedics were called to the scene and all three workers were transported to Hennepin County Medical Center, Xcel said in a statement Thursday. The statement did not note the workers’ condition. All three were wearing the proper protective equipment, the company said.
“We remain deeply concerned about our employees wellbeing,” Xcel said. “The safety of our employees is our number one priority.
Xcel said it’s working to determine the cause of the incident.
