Emma Watson has taken the number one spot on the AskMen Top 99 Most Outstanding Women of 2015 list, the online publication announced Thursday.

UFC champion and actress Ronda Rousey came in just behind Watson. Rousey most recently defended her title belt in just fourteen seconds against Cat Zingano. She also appeared in "Expendables 3" and will play herself in the upcoming "Entourage" movie.

Amal Clooney, the human rights lawyer who recently married George Clooney, made the top 10. The new Mrs. Clooney has an extensive career in law and diplomatic work, including taking part in a three-person UN commission that investigated rules of war violations in the Gaza Strip.

Laverne Cox made the top 20, rounding out an already impressive year for the actress. In addition to her role on the Emmy-winning Netflix show "Orange is the New Black," Cox became the first openly transgender person to appear on the cover of Time magazine in June 2014. She also has a new series, "Doubt," in the works at CBS.

Panelists from Business Insider, Huffington Post Lifestyle, PCMag, Sports Illustrated, and Yahoo! Celebrity helped the AskMen editorial team compile the original list of 200 nominees.

"This year's list is not only a reflection of a shift in the media, but also a shift in modern male thinking," said AskMen publisher James Bassil. "We wanted to steer away from 'hot' lists and highlight women who have demonstrated a sheer influence in their industry.

The top 20 are as follows:
