Each year, Ellen DeGeneres has outdone herself when it comes to her Halloween episodes. Her costumes are always memorable and in touch with whatever stories are dominating the cultural zeitgeist. This year proved no different, as she came out as Mrs. George Clooney on Friday's episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."

Even better, she made her first appearance as Amal Alamuddin in a life-sized recreation of the People magazine cover that spotlighted the newly-married couple.

In fact, she was kind of playing both Alamuddin and Clooney, as her left arm was actually George Clooney's right, with the two of them firmly holding hands. Things went pretty smoothly, though George got a little handsy from time to time. He is a newlywed, though.

"I like Halloween because it's the one time you can dress up however you want and pretend you're someone that you would never be in real life," DeGeneres said. "For me, that's married to a man."

Costumes DeGeneres has worn in the past on her show include her cleavage-baring Nicki Minaj costume last year, her dress-splitting Sofia Vergara from 2012, Jennifer Lopez and even Dr. Phil. She's even done the magazine bit before, dressing up in 2009 as her own cover image from Oprah Winfrey's O Magazine.
