QUICK Q&A: BRADY HANSON, JUNIOR, EAST RIDGEYou were just named team captain. What does that mean to you? It's a pretty big deal. I've always been the one who screws around and gets into trouble, so it was important to me to show I've come together and matured.

Were you surprised? Not really. I was more relieved and happy.

How important is golf to you? I play hockey and golf. Over the last couple of years, golf has become one of my main priorities.

Most amazing shot? Last weekend, at the Tri-State Invitational. It was pouring rain and I thinned a 9-iron into the water. It was fully submerged, but it hit a rock about six inches under the water and bounced up onto the green about 20 feet from the hole. I made the putt, too.

Best round ever? I shot a 69 at Prestwick last summer.

Favorite club: Gotta be my driver. It's a Titleist Nine-Tenths.

What is in your golf bag other than clubs and balls? I always have some food, a Gatorade and a bunch of Sharpies. I like having different colors.

Strongest part of your game? Hitting it straight and getting on the greens.

Favorite tournament on TV: Have to go with the Masters.

Secret to playing good golf: Practice doesn't make perfect, but perfect practice makes perfect.
