Loose horse. A miniature horse was reported running around the neighborhood on the 2600 block of Stagecoach Trail S. The officer arrived to find residents trying to contain the animal. The mini horse was eventually coaxed down a fence line and into a pen.
Car accident with deer. A vehicle traveling on 125th St. N. east of Goodview Avenue N. hit a deer. The vehicle sustained damage to its bumper, grill and hood. It was unknown if the deer was killed.
Parenting complaint. Someone called to report that a mother had left a child and a baby in a running car for 10 minutes on the 700 block of Stillwater Road.
Vehicle lockout. A juvenile reported locking her keys in her car on the first block of Pine Street. The assisting officer, noting the car had side impact bags, was unable to help unlock the doors.
Loose dog. A large shepherd mix was reported on the loose running through a yard at the intersection of Maple Street and East Avenue.
Theft. Four books were stolen from a car on the 1000 block of Deauville Drive. A new pair of shoes, six pairs of socks, coins and a pill box were taken from an unlocked vehicle on the same block.
Theft. A vehicle on the 1900 block of Beebe Road was broken into and a gray Fuzzbuster with blue sparkles on the bottom and a GPS unit were taken.
Underage consumption. An officer observed a group of five people loitering in an alley on the 500 block of Glenbrook Avenue. When the officer approached them, all left with the exception of an 18-year-old male who was holding a bottle of vodka and stumbling, police said. He was issued a citation for underage consumption and released to a responsible party.
Theft. A 34-year-old man on the 500 block of Gentry Avenue reported the theft of four fishing rod and reel combinations that had been propped up against his garage.
Damage to property. A 39-year-old woman reported that an 84-year-old man was drunk and knocked her digital camera to the ground at the Bierstube, 7121 10th St. N. No charges were requested. The man paid for the damages.
Theft. A 13-year-old was apprehended at Mills Fleet Farm, 5635 Hadley Av. N., for the theft of smoke balls valued at $1.99.
Theft. A 44-year-old man reported he either lost his wallet or it was stolen at the Carmike Theater, 1188 Helmo Av. N. Following the incident, he discovered that his credit cards had been used in St. Paul.
Loose dog. A collie was reported running in and out of traffic on Scandia Trail N. east of Manning Trail.
Neighbor dispute. A man reported having ongoing problems with his neighbor on the 10000 block of 185th Street N. None of the confrontations was physical, and they only occurred when the neighbor had been drinking; most were over property disputes, he said. He was advised to call during the next incident.
west lakeland township
Littering complaint. Someone called to complain about a yard filled with garbage, as well as noise from the residence, at a house in the neighborhood of 21st Street N. and Oakgreen Avenue N. The complainant also said there was a pile of toys on the corner of the yard. A juvenile at the address told police the toys were not theirs.
