AFTON

JULY 12

Bicyclist complaint. Bicyclists riding side by side on the road, making it difficult for vehicles to pass, were reported on the 500 block of Stagecoach Trail.

DELLWOOD

JULY 14

Open door. Police checked on a door that had blown open and set off an alarm on the 100 block of Apple Orchard Court. Officers looked inside and everything checked out OK.

Solicitor complaint. Police responded to a report of unwanted soliciting on the 100 block of Peninsula Road. Officers found no solicitors still in the area.

HUGO

JULY 14

Harassing communications. A woman on the 4500 block of Rosemary Way reported receiving harassing phone calls for the last three months. Police advised her on options for handling the calls.

LAKE ELMO

JULY 12

Suspicious smell. Someone reported a chemical odor coming from a neighbor's residence on the 8200 block of Stillwater Boulevard. Police found that the neighbors were painting in their garage and had a fan blowing out.

MAPLEWOOD

JULY 8

Auto theft. A silver 2009 Chevrolet Impala was reported missing since October from Enterprise Rent-A-Car, 2450 Maplewood Drive. The car had been rented but was never returned.

JULY 9

Theft. The back tires of a vehicle reportedly were stolen on the 1300 block of Larpenteur Avenue.

JULY 10

Theft. A male suspect reportedly took a bottle of Bombay Sapphire gin and a bottle of Tanqueray gin from A-1 Liquor, 19 Century Av. N.

JULY 9, JULY 10

Property damage. A porcelain donkey and a porcelain bird feeder were broken in the yard of a home on the 2100 block of Day Road.

JULY 11, JULY 12

Theft. A trolling motor, a GPS unit, a tackle box, five fishing poles and depth finders were reported stolen from a boat on the 700 block of Skillman Avenue.

JULY 12

Property damage. A woman heard loud bangs against her vehicle while driving through the intersection of McKnight Road and Carver Avenue. She later found two dents on the rear passenger-side door.

OAKDALE

JULY 9

Burglary. A 39-year-old woman reported witnessing a 16-year-old boy enter her garage and steal a bicycle. The suspect was caught by bystanders and surrendered the bike but then fled on foot. An officer located the youth and he was booked for burglary and released.

Property damage. A car was egged on the 4600 block of Hilldale Avenue.

JULY 11

Burglary. A 45-year-old man reported hearing a suspicious noise at his residence on the 1100 block of Greene Avenue around 3:40 a.m. Upon checking on the noise he determined someone had crawled through the dog door into his garage and stolen an electric scooter valued at $350.

Theft. A 33-year-old woman reported the theft of keys and a cell phone she had left on the checkout counter at Rainbow Foods, 7052 10th St. N.

WILLERNIE

JULY 12

Shooting complaint. Police responded to a report of possible gunshots in the area of Wildwood Road and Stewart Road. The noises had ceased by the time officers arrived. They learned some kids had been playing with snaps earlier, which may have been mistaken for gunshots.
