The Gophers women's basketball team enjoyed a renaissance of sorts this past season in Marlene Stollings' first year as head coach.

Even with star guard Rachel Banham sidelined by a torn ACL, the Gophers made the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2009. The mantra after a first-round loss was, "Wait until next year," when Banham would presumably be healthy and center Amanda Zahui B. would continue to dominate. Instead, with Zahui B. declaring for the WNBA draft Monday, the fear here is the program's success could be a blip instead of a sustained run.
