Bernhard Langer eagled the par-5 18th for a 4-under 68 and a one-stroke lead Saturday in the PGA Tour Champions' Oasis Championship in Boca Raton, Fla.
Langer rebounded from a bogey on the par-4 17th with the eagle to reach 12-under 132 at The Old Course at Broken Sound.
Marco Dawson was second after a 67, and David Toms (67) and Brandt Jobe (65) were two strokes back at 10 under in the first full-field event of the season. First-round leader Jesper Parnevik followed his opening 63 with a 72 to drop into a tie for fifth at 9 under with Bob Estes (68), Tom Byrum (69) and Woody Austin (70).
... Kim Kaufman moved to the top of the leaderboard at the LPGA's Vic Open after a 7-under 66 gave her a two-stroke lead after two rounds in Barwon Heads, Australia. The American had a 36-hole total of 13-under, two better than Japan's Haru Nomura. Australian Su Oh was another stroke behind in third.Overnight leader Felicity Johnson of England was seven strokes behind after a 2-over 74.

Royals sign righthander Bailey
The Kansas City Royals signed veteran righthander Homer Bailey to a minor deal Saturday that includes an invitation to big league spring training.
The 32-year-old Bailey has spent his entire 12-year career in Cincinnati, making 212 starts and going 67-77 with a 4.56 ERA. Bailey was traded from the Reds to the Dodgers in a seven-player deal in December, but he was released and became a free agent.
... Infielder Brett Lawrie, who hasn't played in the majors or minors since 2016, reached a deal with the Brewers. ... Righthander Alex Wilson agreed to a minor league contract with the Indians. The 32-year-old had a 3.36 ERA in 59 games for Detroit last year,

U.S. splits in Fed Cup
The United States came back to split the opening singles with Australia in the Federation Cup. Ashleigh Barty gave Australia a good start in its bid to end a 35-year losing drought to the U.S. by hitting 10 aces past Sofia Kenin in winning 6-1, 7-6 (2). But Madison Keys then took only an hour to defeat Kimberly Birrell 6-2, 6-2. France led Belgium 2-0 and Belarus led by the same score against Germany.
