Analog: Vaper term for tobacco cigarette (making an e-cigarette "digital").

Atomizer: Heating coil that turns liquid into a vapor. In three-piece e-cigarette, it's between the liquid cartridge and battery.

Battery: Powers the atomizer when the vaper takes a drag. Typically lithium-ion and features an LED light on the end that glows during drag.

Cartomizer: Combination of atomizer and liquid cartridge in two-piece e-cigarette. After liquid is used up, it's thrown away and replaced with a new one.

E-juice (e-liquid): The liquid solution that typically contains nicotine and is turned into inhalable vapor.

Mod: A customized e-cigarette or personal vaporizer.

Milligrams: Amount of nicotine found in an e-juice. A medium level of nicotine in an e-juice is 18 mg (about the average in a tobacco cigarette).

Personal vaporizer: Another name for an e-cigarette.

Vape: The e-cigarette equivalent of inhaled smoke. Characterized by flavor.

Vaper: Someone who uses an e-cigarette.

Vaping: The act of using an e-cigarette.

Vapor production: How much vapor is produced on a given drag.
