Just in time for the holidays, a national designated driver service is expanding to the Twin Cities.
Called BeMyDD — as in be my designated driver — the service allows customers to hire a personal chauffeur to drive them around town in the comfort of their own car.
Service will start on Wednesday, the night before Thanksgiving.
A professional driver will arrive at a customer’s house or office, take the keys to the customer’s car and take them anywhere they want to go. The minimum hire time is three hours at $14 to $19 per hour.
BeMyDD, which operates in 76 other U.S. cities, also offers car pick up services for those who have already driven somewhere but don’t want to get behind the wheel to go home.
