The current smash "I Kissed a Girl" wasn't the first song by California candy-coater Katy Perry to raise eyebrows and a little ire with its cheeky, GLBT-baiting lyrics. Part of today's Warped Tour at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, the 23-year-old star first caught people's attention (including celeb fan Madonna) with last year's digital single, "Ur So Gay," also now on her new album. The angry kiss-off track sounds like Alanis Morissette's "You Oughta Know" set to a Gwen Stefani beat. With lines including, "I hope you hang yourself with your H&M scarf," the tune seems to be a slam on straight men with prissy habits. Some commentators have nonetheless deemed it derogatory to gays. Either way, what a mean girl.
