The Amazon MP3 Store has a great deal going through Sunday: Download one album priced $7.99 or above and get a credit to download a free selection from a list of MP3 albums selling for $5. Usually, such deals have too limited a selection to be worthwhile, but this offer looks really good. The list of regularly priced albums appears to include just about any of the nearly 600,000 titles in the store selling for $7.99 and above. And the list of "free" $5 albums numbers more than 800 and includes big-draw albums such as the latest releases by Lady Gaga, Nickelback and Taylor Swift and catalog titles such as Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon and Animals and the Beach Boys' Pet Sounds. Greatest-hits compilations abound. There's also loads of new and old eclectic fare for those who want to venture away from the mainstream, including some outstanding classical collections, such as a well-recorded survey of the Glazunov symphonies (five hours!).
