St. Paul-bred filmmaking siblings John Erick and Drew Dowdle have been tapped to make the first in a series of suspense films under the creative direction of "Sixth Sense" auteur M. Night Shyamalan.

The Dowdle brothers, whose zombie thriller "Quarantine" bested Ridley Scott's "Body of Lies" at the box office earlier this month, will write and direct the first entry in the "Night Chronicles" series next year. COLIN COVERT
