Three University of Minnesota basketball players who were suspended late in the season will all return to the Gophers next year, Minnesota associate athletic communications Dan Reisig told the Star Tribune on Tuesday.

The news was first reported by CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein.

Sophomore Nate Mason and freshmen Kevin Dorsey and Dupree McBrayer were suspended for the team's final four games – all losses – including a first-round loss in the Big Ten tournament after sex videos appeared on the social media accounts of Dorsey. Dorsey was the only player identified in the videos by those who saw them.

The university has never confirmed the suspensions were linked to the video, saying only that the punishment was due to "violating team rules."

Reisig said there will be no further suspension or punishment for the players bleeding into next season.

The trio combined to average 26.5 points per game and are considered a major part of the program's backcourt moving into the future.
