Does NCAA know difference between North Dakota and North Dakota State?

As if the NCAA doesn't have enough problems with the people of North Dakota...

The Grand Forks Herald is reporting that the NCAA accidentally sent the championship banner honoring North Dakota State for winning the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision to the University of North Dakota.

Owing to the Fighting Sioux nickname issue, there are already a number of people in the Peace Garden State who are certain the NCAA doesn't have a clue.

It has been: The Herald reports that a note was included that was addressed to Brian Faison, the UND athletic director. "Enclosed find your 2011 championship banner that hung in the NCAA Hall of Champions. I hope your team, faculty, staff and students can now enjoy it as much as our visitors did."

Meanwhile, Minnesota Twins president and UND alum Dave St. Peter has pretty much suggested holding the banner hostage:
