Dispatches from Wisconsin: These three photos tell the Super Bowl story

Oh no. Oh yes.

Regular contributor Stensation is a Wisconsin native and Packers fan. Last week, we granted him license for a Dispatches post on the grounds that he would do it, win or lose. We all know what happened. At least he had the decency to go watch the game in Wisconsin. Here is what happened, in words and pictures:

-------------------------

There were some Vikings fans happy with the Super Bowl outcome. The town of Stoughton, Wis., is chock full of Vikings fans -- Stoughton Vikings fans, that is. The high school embraced on the Scandinavian mascot long before Alan Page, Carl Eller, Jim Marshall or Gary Larsen donned purple.
Stoughton has Viking Village campground, Viking Lanes bowling alley, Viking Laundry and Viking Warehouse & Storage.
It also has more bars than churches, both of which were packed Sunday for the Super Bowl. Prayers in the morning, football in the evening.
Over the course of the latter, one establishment featured more hand-wringing than a mad scientist and more bad swears than a sailor. The twists and turns of a Super Bowl will do that to a fan.
In the end, one stuck out: "[Redacted] [redacted!] we just won the [redacted] Super Bowl!"
Pitchers and catchers report in 10 days folks. Until then, scenes from southern Wisconsin:

Randle was a strong candidate to play in the All-Star Game on Sunday, but was not chosen and will head to the beach instead.
