"Stargate: The Ark of Truth" (MGM, $27)

The gang (Ben Browder, Amanda Tapping, Michael Shanks, Christopher Judge and Claudia Black) from the long-running sci-fi series "Stargate SG-1" reunites for its first straight-to-DVD release. The movie-length adventure continues where the show left off, with the galaxy-hopping team searching for a weapon to defeat Earth's latest menace, a race of all-powerful zealots called the Ori. Co-star Judge joins director Robert Cooper for commentary on the DVD, which also has three featurettes.

"12 Angry Men: Collector's Edition" (MGM, $20)

This acclaimed movie showcases Henry Fonda, Lee J. Cobb, Jack Klugman, Jack Warden and others as jurors debating a case that appears open-and-shut until Fonda insists they talk about it more. The movie has been on DVD before, but the new package -- marking the movie's 50th anniversary -- has a making-of piece including interviews with director Sidney Lumet and cast member Klugman. There's also an intriguing second extra in which famous real-life lawyers discuss juries and jury selection in the context of "12 Angry Men." And the movie holds up very well.

"Billy Wilder Film Collection"

(MGM, $40)

You have enough to create a Hollywood constellation with Jack Lemmon, Walter Matthau, Kim Novak, Shirley MacLaine, Tony Curtis, Marilyn Monroe and Dean Martin in this one set. It features "The Apartment: Special Edition" from 1960, "The Fortune Cookie" from 1966, "Kiss Me Stupid" from 1964 (it was "condemned" by the Catholic League of Decency) and "Some Like It Hot: Collector's Edition" from 1959. The legendary Wilder made more than 60 films. The American Film Institute has ranked "Some Like It Hot" at No. 14 and "The Apartment" at No. 93 among its top 100 American films of the 20th century. Extras abound. "The Apartment" includes commentary, an "Inside the Apartment" documentary and a tribute to Lemmon. "Some Like It Hot" includes three bonus documentaries, additional short features and commentary.
