The Calgary Flames, one of two teams in the NHL that didn't play last night, will look for a season sweep against Minnesota tonight.

They beat the Wild, 1-zip, in St. Paul and in a shootout here in Calgary on Dec. 2.

That actually began the Wild's franchise-record 14-game road point streak (12-0-2). In the 13 road games since then, the Wild has scored 3.77 goals per game, has allowed 2.46, has an .857 penalty kill percentage and .235 power-play percentage.

Hometown kid Devan Dubnyk, who got last night off to get another day after the All-Star break, vs. Brian Elliott tonight.

Dubnyk has 27 wins and is 18-2 in his past 20 starts. He leads the NHL with a 1.88 goals-against average and .936 save percentage. Elliott is 9-12-2 with a 2.88 goals-against average and .892 save percentage.

Mikael Granlund is riding a 10-game point streak. If he gets a point tonight, it'll establish a new franchise record and tie Chicago's Artem Anisimov for longest point streak in the NHL this season.

Jason Pominville is on a six-game point streak, too.

After playing last night in Edmonton, Bruce Boudreau will get the only pair of fresh legs he has on the roster right now in. Christian Folin will play for the first time in five games and Nate Prosser is scratched.

The Wild's 4-2-1 in the second of back-to-backs this season (3.14 goals per game, 3.14 goals against per game) and the coaches did a good job of not taxing anyone last night. The highest forwards were largely around 16 minutes, Ryan Suter even played less than 25 minutes (Matt Dumba led the team in ice time at 24:18).

Boudreau, a day after, wasn't the most thrilled with the Wild's game. He loved the first period, he said the Wild traded mistakes in the second and third periods and was lucky to come out on top because of solid goaltending from Darcy Kuemper.

He wants a tighter, more structured game tonight.

Minnesota is 11-4-2 in its past 17 games against Calgary.

It's also 11-4-2 in its past 17 games in Calgary (2.41 goals per game, 1.71 goals against per game) after going 3-18-4 in its first 25 visits.

That's about it.

As you know, Mike Yeo is the new coach of the Blues. The big surprise is this happened today and not after the Wild blew out St. Louis the game before the All-Star break.

I'll write my Sunday column on this, but Ken Hitchcock is a future Hall of Fame coach in my opinion. You're only as good as your goaltender though, and the Blues' goalies have been terrible this season. So Yeo better pray Jake Allen gets his head on straight or GM Doug Armstrong finds himself a Dubnyk.

Also, the Wild traded minor-league forward Marc Hagel, the all-time leader in games played for Iowa, to Ottawa for future considerations. He wanted to play more, so the Wild accomodated that, assistant GM Brent Flahr said. He will be assigned to AHL Binghamton, which is coached by former Iowa coach Kurt Kleinendorst.

Later. I'll be on NHL Network at 4:05 CT.
