A deer struck a car southwest of the Twin Cities and ricocheted into another vehicle's front windshield and exited out the back window, authorities said.

The driver with the punctured windshields came away with injuries that the State Patrol said were non-life threatening.

The freakish incident occurred about 5 p.m. Saturday on Hwy. 22, just south of 470th Street in Kasota Township, the patrol said. According to the patrol: Jenna R. Lamb, 23, of Baxter, Minn., was driving north on Hwy. 22, where a deer struck her car. The deer went into the front windshield of a southbound car being driven by Kyle C. Cline, 22, of nearby St. Peter, and then out the back window. Cline was recovering from his injuries at a Mankato hospital. Lamb was not hurt.
