ROSY SIMAS
Friday-Saturday: Choreographer Rosy Simas will premiere three dance works next weekend at the Southern Theater in Minneapolis. The program includes "Threshold," a collaborative effort between Simas and photographer Douglas Beasley, inspired by the invisible worlds and revealed through movement as well as the writings of Celtic poet John O'Donohue. "Blood Lines," a solo for Simas, explores her American Indian identity and its influence on her personal and artistic perspectives. Also, Jim Lieberthal will perform the first of a series of biographical solos Simas is creating for a group of Twin Cities dance scene veterans. (8 p.m. Fri.-Sat. $15. Southern Theater, 1420 Washington Av. S., Mpls. www.rosysimas.com.)
