'Slippery Fissh'

Friday-Saturday: This shared evening features a reprise of "Slippery Fish," a sly and smart partnership between choreographer Penelope Freeh (at right) and composer Jocelyn Hagen. The piece, which premiered last year to acclaim, spotlights the tenuous nature of relationships through the complementary languages of movement and music. The program also includes "Swath," by Chicago-based choreographer Rachel Damon (a Perpich Center for the Arts grad). Her work explores the inevitable clash between nature and society using a dance-driven multimedia perspective. (8 p.m. Fri.-Sat. $15-$20. James Sewell Ballet TEK BOX, the Cowles Center, 528 Hennepin Av. S., Mpls. 612-206-3600, or www.thecowlescenter.org.)
