JEROME BEL/THEATER HORA

Thursday-Saturday: French conceptual performer and choreographer Jerome Bel is no stranger to the Walker Art Center stage — in past performances he's dissected the lives of fellow artists using a sly documentarian manner that reveals the inspiration and tedium behind the creative process. "Disabled Theater," developed in collaboration with Switzerland's Theater Hora, represents a departure for Bel. The Hora actors all have cognitive disabilities, and they tackle societal misconceptions about artistic capacity in a direct manner. By shining the spotlight on performers who aren't often seen or heard, Bel challenges us to examine why we may feel stirred up by this situation. (8 p.m. Thu.-Sat., $20, Walker Art Center, 1750 Hennepin Av. S., Mpls., 612-375-7600 or www.walkerart.org.)
