AUG. 27
Theft. A heavy-duty diesel truck battery valued at $180 was stolen in the 11300 block of Rupp Drive.
Theft. Four teens left Olive Garden, 1451 W. County Road 42, without paying for their bill of $81.
Theft. A laptop valued at $1,100 was stolen in the 2000 block of E. 121st Street.

Theft. A laptop valued at $701 was stolen in the 13200 block of Irving Avenue S.
SEPT. 1
Theft. A Sirius satellite radio receiver and $35 in change were stolen from a vehicle in the 15000 block of 1st Avenue S.
SEPT. 2
Assault, theft. Police arrested a 28-year-old Farmington man for assault and theft in the 3400 block of E. Hwy. 13.
EAGAN
SEPT. 11
Fraud. A caller in the 1200 block of Deerwood Drive reported that a check for $9,000 sent to a group home was forged and cashed at a Wachovia bank out of state.
Theft. A bike was stolen outside Walgreens, 4220 Lexington Av.
Theft. A resident of the 1600 block of Blackhawk Cove reported that a driver's license and credit cards were stolen at either the Cub Foods or Target in Eagan.
Property damage. Several mailboxes were knocked over in the 1600 block of Blackhawk Lake Drive.
SEPT. 12
Assault. Two women were arrested for assault after an altercation in the 1100 block of Northwood Drive.
SEPT. 13
Harassment. A caller in the 3300 block of Alden Pond Lane complained about someone who refuses to stop calling and texting.
Illegal dumping. Somebody left eight jugs of oil at a dead end in the 2200 block of Rocky Rapids Way.
Theft. An 18-year-old woman was cited for shoplifting after she was seen putting a garment in her purse at Kohl's, 1350 Town Centre Drive.
Theft. A caller in the 3900 block of Northview Terrace reported the theft of a blue Razor motorized scooter valued at $300-$400.
SEPT. 14
Welfare check. An officer responded to a request to check on the welfare of a resident of the 4300 block of Garden Trail. The elderly resident told the officer she was fine, and she refused to let the officer in her house. She went on to say that she is "pro-NRA" and would shoot to kill if she feels threatened in her home.
Theft. Somebody stole $30 in cash from a teacher's desk at Metcalf Junior High School, 2250 Diffley Road.
Burglary. A chainsaw was stolen from a garage in the 1300 block of Amaryllis Lane.

Fraud. Credit-card fraud was reported in the 300 block of 14th Street.

Fight. A fight was reported in the 4200 block of W. 208th Street.

SEPT. 10
Neglect. Police investigated a case of alleged child neglect in the 2000 block of Jaguar Avenue.
Theft. Two thefts from vehicles were reported in the 19600 block of Ipava Avenue.

SEPT. 13
Theft. A theft from a vehicle was reported in the 2400 block of W. Belfast Street.
SEPT. 17
Burglary. A burglary was reported in the 2100 block of W. 120th Street.
Theft. A theft from a vehicle was reported in the 14600 block of Damask Avenue W.
SOUTH ST. PAUL
SEPT. 13
Theft. A woman was cited for theft after she placed a ham in her purse at Knowlan's, 225 13th Av. S., and left the store without paying for it. She told the officer she was sorry and that she stole the ham because she was unemployed and had lost her home.
SEPT. 15
Burglary. Somebody entered and ransacked a home in the 300 block of 6th Avenue S. while the owner was away during the day. The perpetrator entered through an unlocked window. Police noted that the burglary was similar to one three days earlier in the 300 block of 5th Street, where electronics, checkbooks and credit cards were not taken and it appeared the burglar was looking for cash and jewelry.
SEPT. 16
Drugs. A caller reported that he was robbed at an apartment on Wentworth Avenue. The alleged victim said he was visiting a friend, whom he knew only as "B Good," at the apartment when another man threw him to the floor and stole $21, his cell phone and his Minnesota ID card. An officer questioned the alleged attacker and the victim, but the victim's story changed. "This situation is certainly narcotic related," the officer noted.
WEST ST. PAUL
SEPT. 15
Property damage. A vehicle tire was slashed in the 900 block of Smith Avenue S.
Assault. A caller said he was assaulted by about six gang members with bats at the West St. Paul pool, 92 W. Orme St.
SEPT. 16
Theft. A man was seen taking six bottles of vodka from MGM Liquor, 1690 S. Robert St.
SEPT. 18
Property damage. Somebody threw a large retaining-wall brick through an apartment's living room window in the 300 block of Marie Avenue E.
Harassment. A caller in the 300 block of Marie Avenue E. reported that her mother and sister keep banging on her doors and windows and had flattened her tires.
Fight. A woman was arrested for domestic assault after a report of a fight at an apartment building in the 300 block of Westview Drive.
Attempted theft. A man tried to leave Burlington Coat Factory, 2035 S. Robert St., through the emergency exit with an armful of clothes. The door wouldn't open, so he dropped the clothes and fled out the front door. The manager of the store asked police for extra patrols because thefts have been on the rise.
SEPT. 19
Robbery. A male was attacked by two people near Heritage Middle School, 121 Butler Av. W. They punched and kicked him and stole his bicycle, laptop and wallet.
Theft. A vehicle window was broken and an exercise bag was stolen in the 900 block of Humboldt Avenue.
