Cyclones defeat Hawkeyes at home MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

• IOWA STATE 81, IOWA 71: Craig Brackins tied his season high with 28 points as the Cyclones ended a three-game losing streak by beating the rival Hawkeyes on Friday night in Ames. Marquis Gilstrap added 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Cyclones (7-3), who posted their fourth consecutive home victory over the Hawkeyes dating to 2003. Matt Gatens had 20 points and Jarryd Cole chipped in with 16 for Iowa (3-7).

AREA COLLEGES

CONCORDIA (ST. PAUL) 82, MINN.-CROOKSTON 79 (OT): Andrew Kuderer's two free throws with three seconds remaining in overtime helped the visiting Golden Bears (3-4, 1-2 NSIC) outlast the Golden Eagles (3-4, 1-2). Craig Heiman scored 25 to lead the Golden Bears. Akeem Cubie scored 27 to lead the Golden Eagles.

ST. CLOUD STATE 80, MSU MOORHEAD 69: Brett Putz and Jesse Fisher each scored 17 to lead the visiting Huskies (5-2, 2-1 NSIC) past the host Dragons (3-5, 1-2).

MSU MANKATO 86, MARY 71: Marcus Hill scored 22 points and four teammates scored in double figures to pace the host Mavericks (8-0, 2-0 NSIC) to the victory over the Marauders (4-4, 2-1).

DRAKE 96, SOUTH DAKOTA 81: Josh Young scored 21 points as the Bulldogs (4-5), lighting it up from three-point range, pulled away from the Coyotes (5-4) at the Drake Invitational. Ben Simons added 20 for the Bulldogs (4-5), who shot 53.8 percent from long distance (14 of 26). Tyler Cain and Jake Thomas scored 16 apiece for the Coyotes.

CENTRAL 80, MARTIN LUTHER 67: The Knights (1-5) struggled on both ends of the floor, shooting only 26.8 percent in the first half, and the Dutch (7-2) won in New Ulm. Mark Holan led the Dutch with 20 points.

CONCORDIA (ST. PAUL) 89, MINN.-CROOKSTON 56: Kali Olstad scored 18 points to lead the unbeaten Golden Bears (7-0, 3-0 NSIC) past the host Golden Eagles (3-5, 1-2).

MSU MANKATO 68, MARY 64: Tiffany Moe scored 20 points and Liz Trauger scored 17 to help the host Mavericks (7-1, 2-0 NSIC), ranked No. 11 in the Division II poll, outlast the Marauders (1-6, 0-3).

MSU MOORHEAD 74, ST. CLOUD STATE 62: Alison Nash-Gerlach had 24 points and 12 rebounds and Meghan Rettke had 18 points and 16 rebounds to help the host Dragons (8-0, 3-0) remain unbeaten.

SW MINNESOTA STATE 66, NORTHERN STATE 64: Megan Stadler made two free throws with 5.5 seconds remaining to lift the host Mustangs (4-2, 1-1 NSIC) to the victory over the Huskies. Northern State (3-5, 0-3) missed a final three-point attempt.
