Cubs manager Dale Sveum says he saw an even worse call by Phil Cuzzi

Umpiring enthusiasts will know that we somewhat frequently make reference to the Phil Cuzzi blown call on Joe Mauer in the 2009 ALDS. It's not because we believe that cost the Twins the game and/or series. In fact, Mauer got a hit later in the at bat, and the Twins eventually had the bases loaded with nobody out and failed to score.

But the call was just so bad. So, so bad.

Apparently, though, Cuzzi made an even worse call the other day. At least that's what Cubs manager Dale Sveum said, in calling it "Easily the worst check swing call I've ever seen."
