SundayAwards are nice, but music is sweeter, which is why I plan to skip the acceptance speeches during the taped "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies" (8 p.m., Fuse) and tune in for the closing numbers, which include Tom Waits and Neil Young teaming up for "Get Behind the Mule," Bruce Springsteen providing guitar for Darlene Love's "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah" and Dr. John, Leon Russell and Elton John all banging the keys while Lloyd Price wails "Stagger Lee."
MondayWhile Bristol Palin works on her memoir, the new cast of "Dancing With the Stars" (7 p.m., KSTP, Ch. 5) gets ready to start the official race. There aren't as many wild cards this time around, although we're looking forward to seeing if this is the diet plan that finally sticks for Kirstie Alley. Others taking the floor include Sugar Ray Leonard, Kendra Wilkinson and my personal pick, Ralph Macchio.
TuesdayThe period between the Oscars and the summer blockbusters is almost always a letdown (unless you're a big fan of Martin Lawrence comedies), which makes this the perfect time to reflect on sweeter days. "Best in Film: The Greatest Movies of All Time" (8 p.m., KSTP, Ch. 5) shares the results of an online poll asking fans to select everything from the best lines to the best couples. Hosted by beloved movie stars Cynthia McFadden and Tom Bergeron.
WednesdayMatthew Perry gets a chance to prove that he really was once a top-ranked teenager on the Canadian tennis scene when his character in "Mr. Sunshine" (8:31 p.m., KSTP, Ch. 5) gets into a charity match with Jimmy Connors and former "Wonder Years" star Fred Savage. Don't count Savage out. We hear he's got a wicked drop shot.
ThursdayOnce upon a time, a plucky princess named Tina Fey took on a mighty king named Aaron Sorkin when she dared to put on a show about backstage antics at a sketch show at the same time he did. Well, "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" faded and "30 Rock" (9 p.m., KARE, Ch. 11) went on to win a gajillion Emmys. Sorkin has apparently gotten over the loss. He makes a guest appearance on her new episode.
