A single-vehicle rollover accident snarled traffic on Interstate 35 near Hwy. 61 in Chisago County on Sunday afternoon.
The car's driver, Timothy J. Rubbelke, 43, of New Brighton, was flown to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbins- dale with serious injuries, State Patrol spokeswoman Lt. Tiffani Nielson said.
Three passengers — Angelica Fitch, 24; Destiny Pantlin, 7; and Molly Maloney, 5 — were taken to area hospitals by ambulance with what Nielson described as "non-life-threatening injuries."
The accident occurred along southbound I-35 near Wyoming just before 2 p.m., and limited travel in both directions until the interstate fully reopened about 6 p.m., Nielson said. She did not know the extent of the traffic backup, which occurred on the weekend of the state fishing opener.
